About Us
Established under the coordination of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB), the Türkiye Quantum Platform operates to raise national awareness of quantum technologies, develop capabilities, and strengthen the domestic quantum ecosystem.
In 2020, SSB Department of R&D and Technology Management launched the Quantum Technologies Development Program and prepared the Quantum Technology Roadmap. Through the Quantum Focus Technology Network (OTAĞ) activities, initiated in 2024 and completed in 2025, the existing Roadmap was updated and the Quantum OTAĞ Final Report was produced. The report has been published on the SSB R&D Portal. Activities relating to the Türkiye Quantum Platform are carried out under this Program, on the principle of making the fullest possible use of existing domestic infrastructure, workforce, and knowledge.
The platform consolidates ecosystem announcements and content in a single hub and ensures inter-institutional visibility; it also aims to operate in the areas of industry–academia–research coordination, education programs, international collaborations, entrepreneurship and commercialization, and the shared use of critical infrastructure.

Quantum Computing
A computing approach that uses quantum phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to solve certain classes of problems beyond the practical efficiency of classical computers.

Quantum Sensing
Technologies such as atomic clocks, gravimeters, magnetometers, and quantum imaging that use quantum effects to push measurement sensitivity beyond the classical standard quantum limit.

Quantum Communication
A technology area that bases information security on physical principles rather than computational hardness, including complementary layers such as QKD and post-quantum cryptography.

SSB Quantum Algorithm Challenge Is Going To Be Held
The Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), together with stakeholder institutions, is organising the SSB Quantum Algorithm Challenge. The competition aims to demonstrate the potential of quantum programming for solving real-world problems, to raise awareness in the field, and to contribute to the development of qualified human resources and a sustainable domestic quantum ecosystem. Solutions using quantum algorithms will be developed for optimisation and modelling problems compiled from the banking, finance and telecommunications sectors, and for sample problems derived from them.
