According to Quantum Computing Report, Xanadu opened public cloud access to its photonic processor Borealis. The company claimed that a sampling task completed in 36 microseconds would take an estimated 9,000 years on a classical computer.
The quantum advantage framing is a company statement and remains subject to independent verification. Opening access is nevertheless notable because it makes the photonic platform available to a wider user base.
