According to ScienceDaily, an international team including Paderborn University and Sapienza University of Rome teleported the polarization state of a photon between two different quantum dots over a 270-meter free-space link.
The team reported 82±1 percent fidelity above the classical limit and a teleportation success rate currently above 70 percent. The result is considered important for connecting heterogeneous quantum sources in future quantum networks.
