According to ScienceDaily, the Jülich Supercomputing Centre and NVIDIA fully simulated a universal 50-qubit quantum computer on JUPITER, Europe's first exascale machine, surpassing the 48-qubit K-computer record from 2019.
The simulation used about 2 petabytes of memory and ran JUQCS-50 software on more than 16,000 GH200 superchips. This was a classical simulation, not a physical quantum processor, but it is important for testing classical limits.
